This may not be stencylworks related.

I am working on a stencyl game and have acquired some mp3 files. I need to edit the mp3 files in audacity (to make the music track shorter) and export it back as mp3. However, during exporting, it asked me for some lame.dll install. can someone point me to a reputable place where  I can download this lame file? Or other workarounds?

It isn't StencylWorks related, but undoubtably a common question that would be encountered as popular as Audacity is around here.

This is the page you are looking for.

There are no impossible things. There is only lack of skills.
Don't click this if your computer has less than 641 kilobytes of RAM.

Thanks man, You are sure this site is reputable? I downloaded one from some unknown site last time and it cleaned up (or shall I say wiped out) my whole computer.

The Audacity Wiki I linked above has direct links to the different files (depending on your OS) if you'd rather go directly that route. Just read the appropriate section of the article, it's pretty well laid out.

I followed both of your instructions and downloaded the lame.dll file. However, when I try to export my sound file as mp3 and point to the lame file during export and click OK, it says "Cannot find mp3 export library". Any clue? So I cannot dump out my mp3 file.
