Stencyl Won't Launch

I just downloaded Stencyl and used it for a bit one time. Then, after closing it, every time I try to open it it shows up in my doc for a split second and then disappears. I tried updating Java but that didn't change anything. I'm using a Mac OS X 10.8.5

*Sigh* The age old question.

Maybe try to reinstall it?

For some people, Mac can't run Stencyl. (Don't know why)

Seriously? Are there any good game engines for beginners that do work well for mac?

Try reinstalling.  Stencyl should work fine on any Mac running 10.8 or higher.

I would recommend using stencyl.

Give it a few days to get it working. (You won't regret it)

So yeah, i guess you can use Unity, UDK (Unreal engine) or Cryengine... All do 3D and 2D, but you will need to spend a bit to figure it out.

Try and get stencyl working (Like Robby said, Reinstall it)

Stencyl runs perfect on a Mac and is, especially when it comes to the Mac, the best choice (okay, it's my choice)

First, try to repair permissions and check rights: open DiscUtility, select your hard drive and press "Repair Disc". Don't worry, it doesn't harm anything.

If this hasn't work, open the Console (open Spotlight and enter Console, it should show you the app) and then start Stencyl. Watch the output for some Java and or Stencyl-related output. If there's something, copy it and post it here in the thread.
