Favorites in block picker

Sorry for highjacking this thread but how many work is it to put the favorite blocks in the context menu?
This would really add some value to the favs, as they are somehow awkward to use in the moment (with the palette the the bottom right it's way more work to get the mouse there than looking for the blocks directly).

I can look into it. The action blocks (the ones that don't return anything) should be easy. I could be some work to do it for all the different return values. And it might become a problem with the layout if there are a lot of favorites...

My initial Idea (the luxury one) was to have up to ten favorites in the context menu. The user would have an extra column in the favorites pane similar to the behavior attributes hidden checkbox. (you might also check my post in the suggestion menu)

Ya, that sounds good.

Lots of good ideas in that topic, but I think most of them are  quite some work to implement.

I know, some of them are not that easy to implement. But on the other way round: the IDE benefits. What's it worth to have all this beautiful functionality inside the IDE but the users are struggling with the IDE or doing larger projects?  :D

Btw.: Is it technically possible to change the font of the blocks, i.e. making them smaller and thus having smaller blocks?  This would allow to improve the readability on retina displays and displays with smaller resolutions.

Changing the font would be easy, but the blocks are not implemented in a way that they would scale up/down with the font, so changing the font alone would not help much.

Damn, I was hoping that the blocks scale with the font.

Thanks for your time Captain, and the great work fixing all the stuff and implement the nice and neat features.

Maybe it would be possible to implement zooming by rescaling the edit area instead. I tried it and it would work, but the mouse coordinates for dragging blocks would need to be adjusted too (and there would be probably some more things to take care of.)

Yw :)

I think, it's okay if the zoomed view is not editable. Think of a birds view on our code, to spot loops, conditions and to see a wider picture.

Ah, you mean like a mini-map?

Well, a mini-map would be visible all the time (THAT would be a cool feature: get rid of that trashcan and place a minimap on that area, think of the Sublime Text-Editor, for example)

I was looking for something simpler: a zoom 75/50/25 popup somewhere above the editor, that only shows a zoomed version of that event. To edit, you have to zoom back to 100%

You can now add favorites to the block picker! ;)

There's an extra section next to Universal and This Game's Favorites, with no maximum number of favorites there. The sorting in the picker should be the same as in the palette section. Besides action blocks, only number, text and boolean blocks have a favorites menu, other return types aren't common enough that an extra subsection in the dropdown.
