Game not functioning properly!

My game is that of a basic design at the moment. All you have to do is dodge the oncoming randomly generated enemies at a location with your character called "Retro". I have coded (to what I think is) correctly so that when the enemies move off screen they die to provent lag. I also coded that once your player hits the enemy he dies. However when I test the game, this doesn't happen. Instead it looks like the ememy and the player are on two different layers. So I edited the scene with the player and moved him to the front, yet it still has the appearance that the enemies go over him.

Can anyone help me with this?
