Wow, it wasn't even close. :o

Hmm... I've already been firing blanks. What to do...

Well, I just woke up at three AM to check the theme so I can sleep over it. Here are my thoughts. I like the idea of connected worlds but I can't see many different ways to implement it in a platformer so I will probably end up avoiding that genre.

2 hours of thinking, it was difficult at first, but ideas begin to come. Going now on stencyl to bed. Better sleep on it. I hope I am not thinking of something too big...

Heh, not me! Although the idea I'm thinking I'm going to run with isn't necessarily quite that simple or straightforward.

I'm pretty lost on this one. Here's the ideas I am toying with:

1. Most obvious is parallel dimensions  or space travel between planets

2. In a modern sense, it is talking about something like the internet connecting the world

3. In business it also refers to people and organizations being connected - via something like the internet

4. I'm also thinking about connecting so called "different worlds" together, for example genders or nations

I have no clue what to make out of those four. Hopefully it will help someone else come up with a game idea. I might go with a more abstract view on the theme like connecting the world of music with the world of poetry. Not like that is any easier :)

Meh, I'm not a huge fan of this one (though I really loved several of the rejected ones), I've got a couple vague ideas but nothing really stands out to me in terms of gameplay, at least not on a small enough scale to be useful for LD...

We'll see, one of my vague ideas is starting to grow on me (as in, as I type this; I'm probably going to decide to try it), but it'll really rest on the strength of design for individual moments (moments which may have some tricky programming/asset creation associated with them) rather than single central element, so I have no idea if there'll be enough time to make it really worth it.

I'm still in this, but if I do finish I'll be submitting for the Jam as this project ended up taking longer than expected. This theme sparked an idea for me which I now see is a bit too ambitious for LD, but that won't stop me from trying to hobble something together.

Nice! And good luck to all still in the jam!

Unfortunately I won't be able to make the deadline.
The problem I faced was half the jam I kept scrapping different game mechanics and just when I found something; I wouldn't have enough time to make gameplay elements to compliment it.

but hey.. I made a really nice framework to build a full game off of. :)

I realized I was burned out from stuff in real life and made the right call by not piledriving myself over the weekend. Maybe next time. :P

Congrats to all who participated. As usual, I've collected all the games into a single page.

I uploaded my game on stencyl today, and it would be very nice to update its logo. Sorry for the trouble!  :-[

I'll play to the other stencyl games tomorrow.
Congratulations to all!
