September 9th Apple Event

Minutes ago, Apple sent out invitations for it's event on a Tuesday. Many speculate two new iPhone sizes and an iWatch.

What do you think?

I think Apple are masters of promotion, and that we'll find out about any new products on 9th September.

Seriously. This is just rumor and speculation. Let's not assume [insert company name here which I shall not recite because I do not believe you should be able to own the name of a FRUIT] is going to announce any new "products" (if you can even call them that...) at the September 9th (a little close to a certain sensitive date, no...? tactless) event.

Two interesting things are Apple constructing a three story building (possibly to show off HomeKit with the iWatch?) and the location of the event, where the first Mac was introduced.

Yeah, we know; we're just chatting, and not taking it that seriously. So, not seriously!

[insert company name here which I shall not recite because I do not believe you should be able to own the name of a FRUIT]

Blackberry
Tangerine
Orange
Raspberry Pi
Banana Pi
Apple Corps Ltd
Strawberry Global Technologies
Greenplum
Acorn
Apricot

Cherry
GRAPE
Mandarine
Papaya

All Technology companies or products, past and present, none of which, including Apple Inc, 'own' the name of the fruit; they have trademarked the use of the name for specific purposes, none of which involve fruit!

Ah, so was I; sorry if didn't come across that way.

Did you watch the videos? They're famous British comedians. The 1976 sketch is by 'The Two Ronnies'; Ronnie Corbett (the little guy) and the late Ronnie Barker (who is a comedic legend in the UK). The newer sketch is with Ronnie Corbett and Harry Enfield (a popular comedian from the 80s).

Well obviously 9+9+14=32 and 9 is the square of 3. Furthermore, the bits "01001000 01100001 01101100 01100110 00101101 01001100 01101001 01100110 01100101" has exactly 32 bits in the ON position in it, and is the binary representation of the ASCII encoded string "Half-Life". Therefore;

Half-Life 3 confirmed

i heard a rumor about better than retina resolution ,  i don't think is necessary , it just makes things more difficult like the different screen sizes, etc

Not looking forward to a larger screen. Apple made it a point that you can use the 4-inch iPhone one-handed. It's already difficult enough to do as it is, so with a larger screen it's going to be impossible.

I agree. I've been posting this all over Reddit but we seem to be the only ones; lots of people just love the idea of bigger iPhones. If a/multiple bigger ones come, I hope a 4 inch model is kept and it is as good feature-wise as the bigger one/ones. I'd hate to have the bigger ones become premium models.

I've heard a few people who don't want a larger iPhone but yeah the majority seem to want to carry television-sized phones with them

If there is a larger iPhone, I hope it has the same aspect ratio as a previous model so making games for their display is a breeze. (3-4X graphics could have a play but you wont need to resize for 3 different sizes, just 2).

I also expect to be able to develop for the iWatch if the rumor is true, only so I can grab a bag of Funyuns as I watch my dad squint at the small display and curse technology.
