Hello,

in Stencyl 3.1 and below you could choose if an atlas should load up at the start of the game or not.
On Stencyl 3.2 i can't find that option anymore and if i start the game everything loads up without me telling the game to do so. Just like i would put EVERYTHING into the main atlas and i think that shouldn't be the point, right?
Where do i find that option again?

Either go with the atlas-scene binding and choose which atlases you want in your first scene, or disable atlas binding for all scenes, set the ones you want initially loaded to always loaded, and then use the load/unload atlas blocks like before.

Wait, where do you download 3.2?
I know more about Stencyl now.

Hey Justin I am also having the same problem with the atlases with 3.2.  You said "set the ones you want initially loaded to always loaded" but i can't seem to find the "always loaded"  where is it exactly? thanks  :)
(basically I am trying to make a pre-loader and can't figure out how to do it with the new atlas system)

Settings > Atlases > Scenes
Primary View: Scenes
- Make sure atlas binding is disabled for  all scenes (if you want to strictly use atlases like they were used in the past)
Primary View: Atlases
- For each atlas you want initially loaded, set that atlas to always loaded. When you use the load/unload atlas blocks, this setting will be overridden.

Another strategy is to use atlas-scene binding. It makes more sense and you don't have to worry about loading/unloading atlases yourself. Just bind only the initially loaded ones to your first scene, and for each scene thereafter bind only the atlases you need for that scene.

Thanks Justin however I still can't find any "always loaded" button. I followed all the way up until that and still can't find it.  All I can find is the "Include in all scenes" button. Atlas binding can't work exactly with mine as something that's in the pre-loader (i.e the background) is needed in the next scene so unloading that is pointless once left the scene and while it loads there is a black screen which defeats the point of the pre-loader. thanks

Yeah, include in all scenes is what you're looking for.
