Am I the only one in? It will be a pretty lonely dare this year... :'(

It's still 16 days away, so you won't see much interest yet.  I haven't decided yet if I'll set aside time for this one.

It's a 2-3 day game competition.  Here are the rules: http://ludumdare.com/compo/rules/

Quick question,
 am I allowed to publish my game on the chrome store and make a topic about it so I can still be in Ludum Dare 31 ?
Peace

You can do whatever you want with the game as long as it is started when the theme is announced and finished before 2 or 3 days (depending on which part of the competition you enter).

I might have to give it a shot this year. Always looked like fun.

It's not a "real" thing. You can make a game and upload it from home.
Haha, I'm just imagining 2000 developers sitting in a hall together;

And, yes I'll probably try and do something like normal, but I doubt I'll submit anything.

i have to start making games.

I did my first LD when I had barely started in game dev. I would say go for it and try your best to hammer out some game mechanics within the 2 days. Even if you don't submit, it should still be fun.

You don't have to meet up with anybody. There is nothing cool or uncool about it. You make a game in 3 days as part of a team or 2-3 days solo. It is meant to push yourself as a developer. I've only done two, and both times I have learned a ton about game development in those 2 days.

I'm definitely doing it. My goal is to hit higher on the graphics side. I might do the jam this go around so I can use some outside assets.
