I'm very disapointed in the stability of this version.

It has been several years since I last used stencyl and I remember it being more stable.

I am however happy to see it still in active development as it is generally a good tool.

Keep it up!

Welcome back!

It's possible that the perceived decrease in stability is due to the error dialog that shows up when an error occurs. Before, a lot of the errors happened silently and you'd never know it unless you looked at the logs. Beginning in 3.2, as part of an effort to increase program stability, we no longer allow the errors to happen silently in the background.

These errors are essentially deleting data, corrupting behaviours and preventing workflow.

I've posted around in bug reports and suggestions highlighting them.

I'm participating in the Global games jam. So I apologise for any irritability in my posts, i've been awake since 5pm yesterday :)

Thanks for your reply :)

I feel like 3.1 has been more stable ( less bugs ) I keep getting that  * Unexpended bug * in 3.2   that a lot of  users have been getting so right now I'm on 3.1 and I'm still happy with the features.  It just feels like its not worth it for me to go back on to 3.2 with the free version  maybe with paid version its worth it but for now I'm sticking with 3.1 .

Just giving a little feedback :) .

Cheers   :D  !
Peace

The "unexpected problem" dialog was introduced in 3.2 to discover unnoticed bugs more quickly and to make users immediately aware that something has gone wrong. So 3.1 has probably more bugs, but they just aren't as visible.

Btw. the free version and the paid version are the same software, so they are exactly the same in regards to bugs. The subscription just offers more publishing options (well, and you get access to the private build).

I don't really have a particular problem  , all I want to know is if 3.2 ready to be used or if I should stay back on 3.1 ?

3.2 isn't going to be changed at this point. It was released a while ago. You should upgrade, and if you have any problems, you should let us know so they can be fixed for the next release.

Build 8085 was the last build version before the Stencyl team updated openfl and it is available for paid customers. As of 3.3, there is no set date but I presume it will be 'soon'.

It was the most stable version for a while during the upgrade of openfl. I don't know precise details yet, but I don't think it had 64bit iOS support which was why the upgrade was necessary.
