EDITED MARCH 14TH 2015
So I posted this game on here in January when it was almost finished, but I decided it needed to be a little better before releasing. Before I knew, 2 months had passed :p I haven't been working on it every day, but about a week ago I finished version 1.0.0
I'm waiting for the App Store review now and I hope to be able to test the latest version on Android this week so I can submit it to Google Play too.

Anyway, I've got some screenshots for you guys.

Nice demo, but the controls are a bit laggy, sometimes it feels like you haven't pressed the button, so you press again and suddenly he moves two times. I'm sure it's only the demo tho.

hmm.. there shouldn't be any lag. I've had some lag issues, but I thought that was fixed. Any debugging experts around?

Don't worry. I also noticed this. The problem is Flash. It's good for some stuff, but it lags with games made with Stencyl. And it lags in general. When you'll release the game, any platform apart from Flash will work with a stable 60 fps with no input lag. c:

Allright then. I'll be testing it on a variety of devices later today, hope everything works out :)

New characters btw!

I've seen you say this quite a lot and I really disagree on this issue. Flash is a very good publishing platform if you know what you're doing with it and very good flash games have been made with Stencyl.

I totally agree, there are amazing and gorgeous flash games out there, plenty made with stencyl as well. Seems like I formed my phrase badly; What I meant to say is flash has it's limitations. If you know them, and know exactly what you're doing, you can overcome the problems with the limitations and create whatever you like. Me, on the other hand, well, I just recently started and have no clue on how to make games run 60 fps, even 30 would be nice. Looks like I have a long journey ahead of me to learn.

I think games just need to be more optimized on Flash vs mobile platforms which now are quite powerful.

Either way - if there's an issue in flash , it'd be good to take a second glance at it to see if it can be fixed or optimized.

Game looks pretty cool, it's nice that there is some leniency when hitting the platforms it isn't immediately gameover, tho it still makes it hard to recover.

Do you think the game should be a little more slower at te beginning? A tester suggested that.

@MichaelPel: Remember that sometimes slow games can be the result of inefficient code. If you are just starting out, potential framerate eating code may not seem as obvious. Its one of the things you can learn to spot through experience though. Just keep trying!

Edit: the Flash demo of your game does seem to lag A LOT though. Maybe it has to do with using Chrome?

I like the game quite much, on topic. I have an idea for a gameplay feature: Since the name, Don't Drown, if you're underwater for too long a counter shows up with a timer during which you must get back to the surface, or you drown? It could be interesting to try.
@Photon: It's even worse with standalone player. I had to boot up IE for this D: It seems to actually work quite decently on it, I'm surprised

Hey, you're right. This runs much smoother on IE.

That was a bit more... panicky then I thought it would be. In a good way. Very nice! I think its very solid as is.

Great game -especially for being your first one. The graphics look fun and the overall gameplay seems challenging (in a good way). I'd say it looks ready for the App Store. Can't wait to download it. :)

On my 2010 Macbook it runs like a champ using Chrome! Keeping an eye on this for the app store.
