To celebrate the launch of Stencyl 3.3, Newgrounds is hosting a Stencyl-themed jam, with $1,000 in prizes at stake plus free Studio licenses for each winner.

1st Place - $500 + Stencyl Studio
2nd Place - $300 + Stencyl Studio
3rd Place - $200 + Stencyl Studio
4th Place - Stencyl Studio
5th Place - Stencyl Studio

All you have to do is submit a Stencyl-made (preferably with 3.3!) game to Newgrounds between now and May 11th, 2015 and tag it with "stencyljam2015" to be eligible.

We'd also appreciate if you started a topic in these forums (and uploaded the game to our Arcade too!).

Good luck!

Just to check the publish date has to be within these dates - not the whole creation right? Also, are multiple entries allowed?

I'd direct the second question to Tom.

As for the first, the accepted practice is to publish and make small tweaks of the bug/balancing nature. You may not use the extra time to build more of the game unless it's for a post-compo version of course.

Sorry I didn't make it quite clear enough
I was asking about a game that I had already started and believed would be finished within the timezone. Would that be eligible?

Tom wasn't explicit about it, but if the game was not reasonably complete before the jam started, it should be OK.

What we've seen in the past is that some games were worked on for 6 months, a year, or several years and got entered, and that's not really fair to the other entries. They may not be disqualified, but it goes against the spirit of the jam.

Oh okay. Thanks for the clarification. I'll probably end upaking something completely new for the jam anyway. I was just checking if I could get a sneaky second entry from an almost complete I have been already working on. :P

Nice, I'm definitely in!

What if you already got a license? Does it get extended by a year?

@Batuhancan: they normally extend yeah.

I'm in, I've started working on a cool prototype a few days back and hopefully it will be done by the deadline!
