Stencyl Jam 15 - Make a Game! $1,000 in prizes

Never done a jam before but because of the far-away deadline, I think I'll try this one out for experience.

The LD are pressuring but this one seems more relaxed and you can actually think of a good game ! LD is one big rush , so this is a good jam to try out ! 

Going to try and finish something in time, that length is working against me, my subconcious is already at RTS in a month and should probably take a cold shower or something.

I would love to participate, but my game been in development for quite a while already.
I've asked Tom for permission on the Newgrounds forums,...hope you guys will let me in. Originally I've been making iOS version, so it is still rather challenging to make a decent port. Let's see, let's see...fingers crossed.

I have a game I've been working on for 2 weeks, it is itself a sequel, so there were some assets ready to plug in, and no it won't be my entry because I don't think it's fair.

That's not to say I'd apply the same rules to anyone else's submission, for two reasons, 1, it's not entirely unreasonable to want to use something your already working on and passionate about, and 2, there's no way of proving how long you've been working anyway.

So to Almakos, if you think the work you have already done gives you a distinct advantage over someone like me, who will be starting from scratch, don't do it.  (You'd probably beat me anyway my games are generally low quality .

haha, I have been stenciling for less than 6 months, so I hope this goes well! I am gonna try it out and make a simple physics game.

Do you need to publish your game on newground in order to be part of the contest ?

Yes

What I mean is , can I submit it but only publish on the arcade ? ( games site block )

To be entered it must be available on Newgrounds. Other than that you should be able to do whatever you want with it.

This will be way less stressful than LD! I'll be joining in for sure.

Before I start, I've got one question: is two people working together on a game allowed? I know it probably is, but I want to be absolutely sure. I'm betting a seven-person professional team entering probably wouldn't be fair, but I'm thinking two amateurs working together would be fine....

Tom was not against me participating, even though my game is almost done (iOS). But to adapt it to web will require another month by my estimates, so it's still a fair piece of work.
