Hello Stencylers !
I've noticed there have been a lot of questions asked lately about the new game jam so I created a FAQ topic ! I'll update this daily .

1. Who is Hosting this game jam   ?
 The Jam is being hosted by Newgrounds

2 . Are there prizes ?
Yes there are indeed :
1st Place - $500 + Stencyl Studio
2nd Place - $300 + Stencyl Studio
3rd Place - $200 + Stencyl Studio
4th Place - Stencyl Studio
5th Place - Stencyl Studio

3. I started a game a few days ago may I use it for the jam ?
Yes if it was just started you may use it for the jam .

4. When is the due date ?
The due date is May 11th, 2015 .

5. I already have a studio account , what happens if I win ?
Stencyl will extend your licence by a year .

6. Can I Submit a Mobile Game?
It depends :  If its a  mobile game ported to Flash, Yes thats acceptable , but if you want to submit IPA or APK files, then No  please do not submit a game that type .

7. Once submitted, can I still make iterations until 11 May?
Yes , But its better to submit when you are complete the game  ( For reviews)  .

8. Am I allowed to submit my published LD32 entry to the Stencyl Jam ?
Yes , Anything made for LD, if submitted, will be eligible for the jam too. (Of course, we'd prefer to see longer-form games made specifically for the jam!)

9. I have created a game , now how do I enter ?

 All you have to do is submit game to Newgrounds Stencyl jam 2015(tag it ) ,We'd also appreciate if you started a topic in these forums (and uploaded the game to our Arcade too!).

Does the game have to be fully complete?  Or is the Jam for mini games only?

For example, I have an idea for a platformer, so does this mean I have to complete all the stages?  Or can I create just the first 2 stages?

I would suggest making a reasonably polished and finished product. It will be judged against finished games and there is an almost 2 month timeframe so time shouldn't be a major issue.

Can I submit a mobile game?

If you're referring to a mobile game ported to Flash, yes you can do that.  If you're referring to submitting IPA or APK files, then no.

What I mean is a game specifically made for mobile devices with accelerometer and vibrating, etc.

you might want to change the control system
if your game needs those feature to control it (accelerometer / vibrating),
I don't think there's any PC or laptop in the world that can vibrates and have accelerometer built in.
It doesn't make any sense to submit a game that people can't even control it.

Can I use every legalized material of other artists or I need to do everything (e. x., sounds)?

@Zwanzig as long as it's not under copyright you can use it. Sometimes I get sounds from soundrangers.com and music from incompetech.com (I think those are the urls.)
