Thanks, although it was the C64 look we were going for ;)

Wrassling has just hit 200K downloads which is awesome. The US feature ended on thursday and the downloads started dropping instantly. We now have some new Best New Games features but even all 96 of them don't even come close to the US feature. The biggest downloads are now coming from the UK with Russia second.

Google play downloads are starting to pick up and we just launched on Amazon, they contacted us offering a feature in the next couple of weeks, maybe have already started but I'm not familiar with the Amazon store but the game seemed to be visible in quite a few places.

all in all its going better than we ever imagined.

Some people doubt Stencyl, but then a game like your's comes along and it is an inspiration to us all. Nice going!

Unfortunately, every game you make from now on has to live up to the Wrassling Legacy hahaha.

Nice one guys - I downloaded this a few days ago and just got around to playing it this afternoon. I didn't realise it was made in Stencyl until browsing the forums just now! Glad it's going so well for you!

I've been a professional wrestling fan for thirteen years and a video game player ever since I possessed the motor skills required to operate an NES controller, and I can safely say that this is at least my fourth favorite professional wrestling video game.

Very nice

I like how the ability to do suplexes and piledrivers has emerged from the base gameplay mechanics

EDIT: My one criticism of the game is that I expect right to rotate clockwise. I think that's generally how people think of "right" in terms of 2d rotation.

Thanks Irock, WWF Royal Rumble on the snes was always on my mind while creating this, but obviously this is a very distilled version. The ability to switch the rotation of the arms is available in the update which is waiting on apple review now and will be out on google play at the same time.

Yeah Wrassling is its own thing now, i have 2 other games in construction and they will never reach the level of Wrassling, I dont even think I could recreate it if I tried.

Edmund McMillen felt really bummed out after he won the IGF grand prize with Gish in 2005 because he felt that nothing he would make could ever surpass Gish. Despite that, he continued to release games, garnered a dedicated fanbase and eventually made Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac, both of which are really good games that sold millions and are still played and spoken of today.

Don't worry about it!

Super Meat Boy is one of the games that started me on this indie game deal.

Really? All I remember from that movie was the constant madness between all the devs. The drama between the Fez developers, the anger with the Super Meat Boy duo, and I think Jonathan Blow was briefly in there for Braid.

I started making games because games are cool and I'm cool so naturally it works out.

Lol Max GLockling, I guess  ::)

The challenge is what drew me in, but now it kind of gets on my nerves.
