I am hoping that some when down the line, you will consider making a non-interactive kindle version :-)

I'm surprised that you can't order the book from India. I selected all the countries available. Unfortunately, India is not an option. This is disappointing, as there are over 1 billion people in India. Are you still having trouble ordering the book?

With all the trouble I've been having with the iTunes store, I've been considering converting the book to ePub or even PDF. Unfortunately, the book doesn't look as good or have the same level of interactivity. I tried to make it work, but it just feels like an inferior product. The iBooks version looks so much better.

Well maybe you could have a non-public just for those who request it knowing its not the same pdf version with a paypal link ???  I am busy learning lots right now on my own but I do love to learn from others too - different people have different insights and ways of doing things etc. thanks for thinking about it, take care, Megan

It's frustrating, but iBooks seems to be the best format for this book. I tried converting the book again. I put a lot of work into it, but I just wasn't satisfied with the results. It's the "Interactive" Stencyl Textbook. It was specifically created with iBooks Author.

Hopefully Apple fixes the problem with iBooks, as I'm really happy with the way the book turned out.

Don't compromise on your vision for your works just to reach the largest number of people. That's how we wind up with homogeneity. There are whole buckets of cool things I can't have because I don't own a Mac computer. I don't demand the programmers make a version just for me. If I want it bad enough, I go out and get a Mac. If I'm unwilling or unable to get a Mac, that's not the programmer's problem.

I'm sure given enough time, Apple will code a version of iBooks that'll work on other devices/device types. This is not your concern if you are happy with how iBooks lets you create content currently.

It's a great book and another really good perspective on how to use Stencyl. Thanks for making it. :)
If I ever commission you for code work, please know that I understand how commissioning works. You must get paid first before you will code anything for me. Only once you are paid the agreed-upon price, will you begin coding for me. I respect artists and coders. You deserve to be paid for your hard efforts.

I just updated The Interactive Stencyl Textbook to version 1.1 - This is just minor changes and corrections.

Surprisingly, Apple states this on the book listing... "We have not received enough ratings to display an average for this book."

Plenty of people bought the book to pass the threshold. Unfortunately, there are not enough reviews/ratings to show the score. While future updates to the book are not guaranteed, it's more likely to happen if people show an interest in the book. :)

I've been wondering, are people still wanting another format for this book? I read recently that Apple was adding 1 million new iBooks users a week...

I've been wondering about what to do for my next big project. I've been thinking that maybe I shouldn't give up on Stencyl. It's a simple way to introduce beginners into the complicated world of game development and programming. I've been thinking about starting a version 2.0 of the book. Maybe if I tried the print/PDF route on Kickstarter, the book would be more popular.

Although, people are still buying the current version of the book. Maybe it's better to just wait a bit. Maybe focusing on making a great game would be a better project.

I wish you would publish it as a Kindle book - I would buy it but I don't see me getting into Macs any time soon - too expensive - take care, Megan

PS: I don't know if you have considered this, but you might turn your book into a course over at udemy.com - just a thought :-)

It looks like there's an update to iBooks.
According to the iBooks Author page on the Mac App Store...
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ibooks-author/id490152466?mt=12
"iBooks for iPhone now supports books made with iBooks Author"

Although, I only have an iPhone 4 (which is too old for the latest iOS update) and an iPad Air 2 (which already can view books from iBooks Author.)

I'm not sure, but this might be good news for people that have been wanting to get this book, but didn't have a Mac or iPad. Apparently, iPhone seems like an option, but I'm not sure if/how it actually works.
