Is it possible to submit games for BETA testing (pre-release) on iOS?

Hey. I'm releasing a game for a friend. But he wants to play it first.

I've asked someone in the past and they told me that it's not possible to do so.

Just wondering if things have changed or not.

If it is. How easy is it to move the game from BETA testing status to submitting it? (I have lots of trouble uploading iOS games)

I believe you just need to upload your app. Then go to Pre-Release, which should allow you to send the app to beta testers through Testflight.
