The themes where all "good", I didn't dislike many of them, but none of them appealed to me in a special way. 3 more rounds of new themes are coming though! "Infection" was probably my favorite, I feel like it has a broad meaning and leaves room for creativity.

There is no winning and losing. There is only the challenge of pushing yourself to work on a game within 48-72 hours. If you care about what people are going to respond with, you probably shouldn't be entering something like this

Each competition I try to do something different. Challenge yourself to move out of your comfort zone.

Well, I can help you with debunking your prophecy. When Thurs/Fri rolls around and you see the final list of themes, think about 3-4 game mechanics that you would like to try. Categorize each theme into one of the game mechanics. That way, when the theme is announced, you can immediately start working. Hammer out the basic game mechanics that you had planned using placeholder graphics. On Saturday, spend your time figuring out your specific take on the theme and make your graphics. On Sunday, finish up the rest of the main points of the game and spend the rest of your time polishing it.

I'm don't think that schedule would work out for me, but thanks for the advice anyway .
