About 1 out of every 6 or 7 times I run Dialog in cppia, I get a runtime error. Logs are attached :)

Thanks.

OK - a little bit of new information ... in some of my scenes this crash won't happen at all. Other scenes, it happens frequently.  Also, it happens in Flash, too.

Oh good. If it happens in flash, grab the error message that pops up. That will make it much much easier to debug.

Justin, I'm sorry to report I was wrong -- it doesn't happen in Flash. I've been trying for a couple days now to get it to happen in Flash, and I am starting to think that the vast amount of time I've spent with Stencyl lately has caused me have dreams about my game, because I'm now uncertain of where, exactly, I got that idea. Sorry. :(

But - if I start in a scene where the crashes happen, then move to a scene where the crashes don't happen (if I start there), the crashes will now happen in that scene, too.

I have found the cause of this problem! The problem seems to be with my pointer. I don't know why it wasn't crashing in Flash, too, but there you go. Flash just gives a null object reference warning, as shown below.

But a problem remains with this -- I can't get into Data Structures to fix the pointer issue. This problem is addressed in a different post, and is being experienced by multiple people. Anytime I click on anything in the data structures extension I get an error message and can't go any further. These appear in my log when I run it in Flash. I've tried re-installing to no effect. I'm now using the latest build of Stencyl.

Oh, okay. I'm going to release a new version of the dialog extension engine that breaks when errors occur there. That way you'll get a pop up in flash with all the details needed to debug it.

Try engine version 1.5.5 on flash and post the error that pops up.
