You don't have to install it. You just have to enable it:

I don't have Labels under extensions...

I'm running the latest build if that makes any difference.

I am also running the latest build, and the Labels extension is available.

I don't know what's going on, but I've triple checked and it's just not there. All my other extensions show up, but no labels.

The labels extension comes bundled with Stencyl. It should be in your installation directory under plaf/haxe/extensions/label (unlike user extensions which are in your workspace under engine-extensions/).

If you don't have it there, reinstalling Stencyl should get it back.

Just moved all versions of Stencyl to the trash and reinstalled the latest build. Still no labels.

It is in the installation directory though.

Looks like a bug.

As a workaround, copy the extension from your install dir plaf/haxe/extensions/ to your workspace /engine-extensions/.

Well, at least copying the extension worked. Thanks guys.

I checked again, there was a problem with copying over the bundled extensions. Fixed in build 8964.

To clarify because what I said above was not quite correct. When you install Stencyl, it copies the plaf/haxe/extensions contents to your workspace/engine-extensions. If you don't have them there they don't show up. You can delete or modify the extensions in your workspace and you can always restore the bundled ones by copying them again from the install dir to your workspace.
