With the Olympic going on right now,
and a lot of people are searching for sports related games and apps.
What better timing.
Google have its own in-house team (Google Zoo teaming with other studio)
creating sports game related to the Olympics.
I'm sure Apple too, want to push its sports section right now.

As a cool side note, the Olympics-themed games developed for Google Zoo were created with Haxe.

Wow I love the style of these games, I played the basketball one on browser but it would be better on device. Apple fan boy regrets.

I downloaded Dunkers and played it for quite a while, I like it, it has a good feel to it and I like the simple AI of the computer character you play against. Very well done and congratulations on the numbers and revenue- it's great to see Stencylers doing financially well!

One question though, in my time playing it I never once got promoted for an ad or to watch a video or an IAP.  I have read the post and read that you used HeyZap extension- when do the ads show?

There are interstitials on game over In arcade mode, or after 3 matches in career mode. You can also watch and advert on the character select screen to unlock a character.

You may not have seen an advert as I try not to show adverts to new users still trying to work out the controls. So if you score less than 3 in arcade mode, no matter how many games you play you won't see an advert. Same for career mode, if you play and lose your first 3 games you won't see an advert.

When an advert is showed there is also a button to pay to remove the adverts, only on iOS.

No I don't do any additional advertising, 99% of the downloads come from the apple feature.

Congrats! I've been playing it quite a bit. May I ask which ad networks are performing the best for you? Also, how many people actually pay to remove the ads?

Applovin and Unity are performing the best. Applovin contacted me and asked me to set them to show first in the Heyzap mediation as they said they could offer the highest eCPM. So i did that and it seems to have performed pretty well. If I had just left it on auto then probably Admob and Applovin would have been the top earners. Unity was offering the best eCPM for the video reward adverts.

Less than 1% pay to remove the adverts.

You can see the remove adverts in the Info scene or after an advert has shown, but only on iOS. There is no option to remove adverts on the Android version.

Dunkers now has over 2 million downloads iOS and has earned over $110k

Downloads are down to around 4k a day on iOS and revenue has currently levelled off around $450-$550 a day.

Its been a crazy ride, as always so thankful Stencyl exists to allow us to keep doing what we love.

We have been working on an update to add 10 new characters and a few other tweaks, It should be live in a couple of weeks.
