As a complementary thread to the Pixel/Non-pixel Art topics, here's a spot to share music that you've created yourself that doesn't necessarily fit into a journal or game project thread separately.

My lack of skill in this area makes it something that I deliberately want to invest time into to build those. In that vein, here's my first submission. I call it "its a nes thing i think" because that's what I typed into the filename field when saving the project :) It has obvious flaws, of course, haha.

Made with LMMS if you're curious. Also, thanks to Irock for sharing some feedback already on IRC/Discord today!

Hi Hectate.

I find that one really cute.  ;) Well Anyway, I really want to share my thoughts about game music. I hope the game creators should also pay attention on this particular aspect because it really adds weight and it's a one way to make a special connection to the player. We have to take note that this is just as important as the visuals itself. So the formula is: Good Art x Clean Programming + Appropriate Music = Absolute Awesome. \m/ \m/

pretty good start, hectate!
i think good sound effects are far more important than good music, though there is some overlap.
I've been making music on the computer for about 2 years now, though i've been playing bass and guitar and piano for longer.
These are the two most recent songs i've uploaded on soundcloud:

https://soundcloud.com/david-cherepov/gas-masterson-strikes-back

I was maybe going to put them in this exploration platformer thing i was doing, but i'm not sure.

Tennisers,
They both feel like something out of Machinarium or Samarost; that's a good thing :) Very atmospheric, I like them!

Ceosol's right! I'm also a full-time musician dealing with most aspects of music and sound related work.

The programs I used are:
Cubase V5 (its an old version, they now have v8 which I intend to upgrade soon)
Native Instrument Massive
Windows 10.

That's basically all. The keyboard controller I used is a Korg 25 Microkey which I got during my trip to S.Korea.

Let me know if you have any questions!

 Hi Guys.

I used to be a DJ...  But now.. I became an avid fan of smashing my own PC for not getting that code correctly. Helllooo!?!   :o  :o

I love unique music and Jazz. so this is all for now.. I like Crazy Drummers and out-of-this-world progression.
