Were the top 3 games your top 3 choices too? I know House was one of my top choices.

 Hello Guys.

You might want to check Stencyl's page at facebook.   >:( I guess all participants should be given $50 for this event so everyone's gonna be happy.  :D :D :D

- Renegade Quarters.

I got the third place! This was totally unexpected for me! I really thought some incredibly polished entries, like PUMPK!N or Worm Ball would win.

House is really beautiful and it was a really immersive experience. The Librarian Witch was just tons of fun: zeldatroidvania? Yes, please.

I really hope people don't get mad about my entry. Comparisons between all the other great games and Unknown are bound to happen. Someone already rated my game with a 1.

1, 2, and 3 were well deserved, but there were a lot of really good entries in this jam. I don't think the last jam had nearly as many games. I was pretty happy to see myself in the top 5. I wasn't sure if the game would run well on the judges' computers, since I had no time to optimize the rendering code.

Undying City is a neat game. I don't see why someone is stuck on labeling it a Unity 3D game. In some ways, it looks similar to Nikkita31's Infiltration (particularly with the way walking behind buildings is handled), but in an isometric perspective.

Hello.

@Merrak: I think Undying City is the game that satisfied me the most. I like Pumpkin as well but I can't get a decent score because it was really hard for me hehe. I haven't seen other games but these are the few that caught my attention. If the hurricane did not pass your place, that isometric game of yours could have gone crazy awesome but it was bloody time consuming I think.

@Nikkita31 , The Undying City is my game and I was hoping for second place. I put in more than 30 hours on the art alone. The game I spent most time playing this Jam was the House so I get why it won.

It might be a good idea to post a link to the gamejolt post, for the people that didn't follow the jam, or for the people that read this thread in the future and want to check the winning games.

@SadiQ Good Idea. By the way I used the A* pathfinder you made me a few years back. When the zombies can't find a direct path to the player they use the pathfinder. It works so well the change between the direct movement to the pathfinder movement is mostly unnoticeable. I hope you will try the game out a bit. I'm glad to see you made something with that pathfinder :)
I tweaked it for someone  recently for a prototype and it still works :)
I did play the game for a few minutes, but it's hard to aim on a laptop with no mouse (and the game being bigger than my screen size) :(

I've gotta say, I'm pretty surprised that my game Skelly didn't get any special recognition. Definitely put a ton of effort into it, but maybe that's just my own personal bias speaking. Perhaps if I had been able to complete everything I had planned for the game, I would've had better luck.

That being said, congrats to all the winners! House was one of my favorites -- more of a horror than spooky if you ask me, but I guess that counts too.

I wanted to mention the game I had more fun with and spent more time with. Also I laughed a lot, it has a unique sense of humor:

Skelly vs Undead was very fun.

Thanks for all the kind words you guys!!! We were not expecting to be one of the winners of this jam. We have participated in these jams intermittently for the past couple years so we are super stoked to finally win one!
