Thanks, Irock. :]

I hope that the tileset will grow even more so that the environment remains fresh to the player.

@Ceric: I am loving those sprites. They look wonderful for an RPG game.

Thanks! I think my biggest challenge is stylistic consistency. I tend to vary between more "RPG Maker" style graphics and stuff that would be appropriate for the Mother series or Zelda. Those examples are more in the RPG Maker style.

Here's a window and a lantern. Tips for making a decent lantern would be appreciated, especially any lighting effects around it. The lantern was an early attempt but I haven't really found a good style for a lantern yet.

Glad you found it, it still looks good after 3 years.

@Ceric: Loving those objects, they have a very smooth, finished look. With that said, I think the lantern 'might' have too many colors and you could still achieve the same look with less. (I haven't quite counted the colors so for all I know you have a perfectly fine palette and I'm just looking like a fool here. :P)
I like the window as well, it's quite nice! I can definitely see some Mother influence in there.

@NobodyX: That looks great! Better than what I've made 3 years ago, that's for sure! Was it for a Castlevania-like game? The gothic, slightly creepy mood gives me those vibes.

Well, my age 3 years ago is your's 2 years in the future, so I think you've got me beat.

It was for a kind of creepy/cute game. I made a boatload of music for it until I scrapped the whole thing all of a sudden. It was supposed to be a temple in the sky (heaven) that was corrupted by evil monsters.

While typing this I realized how alot of the ideas from the game have stuck with me and I'm recreating them in the games I'm making now, without even realising it (until this moment)! Woah, my mind is blown!

I don't do very much regular pixel art, i'm usually somebody who uses more doodle-style stuff. but a lot of my time working on stuff is spent zoomed in real close editing pixels one-by-one, so i guess you could call it pixel art. some of these things need to be clicked on first.

Wow, didn't notice there was a new post here, lingering for weeks now!

I like the first one a lot. Could see it being a nice graphic style for a game. I like the others as well, but they could do with some AA and line cleaning/work to really make them stand out. Looks good otherwise. :]

This is something I've been working on for a hypothetical game. Got some great advice over at the TSR forums. I really need to get back to this soon and edit it more thoroughly.

My attempt at a fighting-game style sprite. I think it turned out well considering my abilities. It was good practice. : )
Click on it to make it bigger.

Might as well...

That looks pretty great. What sort of game is this?

^ It's a Zelda-inspired game. The story is about two twins lost in a tower, trying to find one another. It's going under heavy revision and well, speculation from myself, at least. Basically, I'm reworking the graphics s'more and exploring possible game elements. It's bound to be a big game, so we decided that since we just got out of "Dungeon Rush!" we'd slow down a little and get our bearings first before tackling another big project.

Glad you like it!

I just made my first tileset. I know the light green in the grass is horribly offensive, so this is definitely a WIP.

There's also the main character's attack animation.
Be he alive or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread.
