Wow! It's been a long time since I've been here! I haven't been keeping track of Stencyl's progress as I was busy with work and a number of video games I was playing.

Anyway it looks like Stencyl is doing great and has a number of updates which is awesome!

Though I want to know if the current Stencyl build can create console-based games, or executable games like those games you download onto your computer or PC games, because I saw it mentions a feature in this News article about "web-based" features so I was wondering.

I'll take a look at those tutorial videos now, and update my Stencyl program as I haven't touched it in months!

I look forward to Stencyl 2.0 and it's amazing features in the future Jon!

No "console-based games".
To distribute a game on Windows you'll need to create a Flash game, export to SWF, open it with the Flash player and create a Projector (.exe).

Steam-based games can happen in the future. We just have to export to Adobe AIR, which Steam supports.

Can we share or sell games as projector?

Can you tell us what is your workspace folder (invoke sw, go to File->Preferences->Workspace->Workspace Folder)?
Ah! Fixed it!
It was set to C:/users/... It wouldn't let me change it to the Stencylworks Installation Folder because I didn't have write permissions. So it ran it again as Administrator, changed the Workspace Folder and now the Crash Course Kit shows up as an option in Create a New Game.
Thank you so much Rob for solving this problem :)
