Anyone will participate on it*? I perhaps will.

*On the Compo it's obligatory to share the source, but the same doesn't happen with the Jam, so Stencyl can be used on it.

I'm in.

I really wanted to enter the competition rather than the jam -- I think I'll have to use Game Maker instead for this one. :/

We'll be good for next time. I'd be fine with you posting up the source, but I don't think the others would be so happy not having the app to open it up with. ;)

Hehe, that would indeed defeat the propose of it  ;). I will go for a Jam this time then, I heard that I can also ask help from a musician so it works better for me. :)

The competition and jam are about to start in a few hours.

The theme isn't finalized yet, but some topics that received high votes were:

It's dangerous to go alone! Take this! - 108
Absorb - 108
Perception / Reality - 84
Non-Euclidean Space - 84
Evolution - 83

Oooh, I like those themes. I'll participate on it, using Stencyl on the Jam. Too bad I'm going to lose some hours due to timelines (starts at 3am on where I live)...  :(

I actually have a non-Stencyl partner that I might be working with for the music. ^_^

Though... that may vary.

It's Quaintbrush, for Ludum Dare.

Due to the fact that I can't think of a decent idea for this theme, I'll not participate on this Ludum Dare. Anyway, I'll cheer for Jesse to win. :)

Thank you! :)

So far, I have three colors of the brush, the player sprites, and the movement engine done. Tinkering with the physics for the brushes -- especially the anti-gravity brush -- was really interesting. :)

I'm going to scrap the green brush, add enemies and the gray/purple brush mechanics, then work on some level design.

I'm about 14 hours in.

The Ludum Dare results are in!

Quaintbrush wins a Bronze medal in Innovation, and places 4th and 5th in 'Community' and 'Fun'. It placed 8th overall out of 288 entries.

Yeah, great job! It really stacked up well against the competition to be in the top 3%.
