Fullscreen Troubles SOLVED

I'm having a lot of trouble with the fullscreen function as I can't really get it to work the way I want. I set it to letter box and it scales the game up a bit but it doesn't fit from top to bottom and I've tried tinkering around and trying different settings like stretch and even just no scale just to see if there's a difference but there isn't any. I've been told that it's just the version 3.4 that doesn't work that well with fullscreen and I've tried 3.3 but it's still pretty finicky, I just can't seem to get it to do what I want and it sucks because everything else with the program working great. Is there an earlier version that works with scaling to fullscreen or is there just something I'm not seeing? Thanks.

I'm exporting into flash btw.

Does exporting to desktop produce the desired result?

I'm using the free version of 3.4 so I can only export to flash for non-browser play. I don't know why I can't get make it work with flash though considering Mibibli's Quest could scale up just fine (it comes with a flash version as well as desktop). It's very weird as results of the the scaling seem to vary between my games and it doesn't seem to matter what the settings for fullscreen are. :-\

You can still test in Desktop. It'll just have a "trial mode" badge in the upper left. I remember Flash being finicky (on Linux) back when I was using 3.4, but was able to get around any issues. But I was using Build 9180, not 9300.

The reason I asked if desktop worked for you is because if your goal is to create a desktop game, but you're only using Flash for testing purposes, you might as well not waste your time with getting Flash to work and just test on desktop. Scaling issues aside, Flash is more forgiving of some coding mistakes that will suddenly pop up when you go to desktop.

Can't seem to export to windows for some reason. Keeps giving me log error reports. Thought that it was the sound mp3s so I deleted them. Still won't work.  ._.'

Edit: ok, I assume it's visual studio that's the problem. Sorry to prod a bit further but which programs that it presents do I actually need?

Make sure you have both .mp3 and .ogg for your sounds.

Unfortunately I don't have any advice for Visual Studio, since I don't have a Windows machine. If you haven't yet, try asking on the Discord chat... or doing a forum search if you have a specific error message to search for.

Well it works perfect with another project I made being able to go to fullscreen in with all the different setting although I keep getting errors on the platformer I'm working on when compiling. I wish it told me what I did wrong. For another topic I suppose. I still find it perplexing why I can't full screen properly in flash as each project seems to have different results despite what the settings are.

Edit: oh my god, I just found out the flash fullscreen settings are linked to the web settings. I've been trying to change it via the desktop settings the entire time. You could not possibly fathom how dumb I feel right now.

Edit again: Forgot to thank you for your time and help, so thank you  :)

I think all of us, myself included, have had plenty of those kinds of moments :P Glad to hear you got it working!
