What's next for our iOS exporter? (In-App Purchases and more!)

TL;DR Version

- In-App Purchases (soon!)
- StencylBuilder Trial (soon!)

- Native Keyboard Support
- In-App Browser (rather than launching Mobile Safari)
- "2x" mode for iPad, for those who want a use their "retina" graphics on the iPad for a quick port.
- Mac Apps
- iCloud
- A "smart" ad banner that fills in alternate ads if iAd has nothing to fill at the time
- Optional 3rd Party APIs such as OpenFeint, Crystal, Plus+, Flurry Analytics and more.
- Bug fixes and smaller enhancements - business as usual

That sounds good!

I hope you guys are working way harder, than the GameSalad guys.

I hope, those things are in when my first iStencyl game is ready to submit  :)

Welcome new pro-stencylers, I understand you can have a lot of influences to the upcoming feature set of istencyl. So let the team know in the pro forum.

Can't wait to see the games you will be making.

Amazing news Jon!
What about mobclix.com SDK?

P.S. Merry Christmas everyone!

What I might do long run is to open the engine up to extensions, so other libraries can be folded in and be integrated into the toolset either through blocks or a couple custom fields under settings like we do today for Mochi/Newgrounds support.

Along with mobclix, a similar kind of thing I'm looking at is AdWhirl.

Hey!
You became a PRO too! Cool.

My decision for buying iStencyl fell when I saw the pixel collision feature and the extrem smoothness of the slingshot game on my phone.

ON TOPIC:
AdWhirl is way better than Mobclix IMHO and I use it. Please add it first, if you can't add them at once.

For the rest, I don't know the software enough yet, so I may give ideas for additional features at a later point.

Until then I am waiting for Android integration and IAP  :D

@Hunnenkoenig

Nice to see you here :) I'm sure you'll enjoy iStencyl as much as I am!

I really believe that most of GS users will take this turn and move to iStencyl :)

Congrats for becoming a PRO subscriber!

I'd have to disagree with you on that point. Gamesalad users are comfortable with it, and (somewhat) know how to use it. Also, it's free. I think some would switch, just because WE ARE STRONGER!

One of my reasons for leaning towards for AdWhirl first is that I've played around with it a bit and like the fact that the whole stack is open source. I can tinker with it and integrate the server into our site, so you don't have to sign up separately with them.

Do you guys know how the StencylBuilder Trial will work when you release it?
Will it be time limited and when it runs out you have to buy Pro or how will it work?

Heya! Good to see ex GS-lers here  ;)
Thanks!
I am still trying to learn it. It is a bit different to GS, although I can see the similarities.
I like the design of iStencyl more than GS's and as far as I can see, these guys are more motivated.

GS is not free if you want the good stuff.
I saw they somehow managed to get android publishing and other stuff, which is a miracle, but too late and probably too buggy too. They are too unreliable for my taste and GS was too clumpsy a year ago, when I used it the last time.
That's why I never would pay 499/year

If nothing else, the price will draw many GS users over here I think.
