Is getting noticed in Appstores getting harder?

I've been away for quite a long time. From time to time, I check my thread that lists all apple featured games. I can't find any apple featured games recently in this forum. Is it because developers aren't interested or because the appstore is getting harder to get noticed?

I think its a combination of things. Firstly a lot of what used to happen on the forums now happens in discord. Adventure Islands released Total Party Kill that was featured Globally, AlexVsCoding released Break N Take that was featured and I released Knight Brawl that was featured. Im not sure of any of those games were posted in the forums. The Apple feature is not what it used to be now, even with global feature you struggle to get worthwhile downloads, So I suspect a lot of the regular mobile devs are not releasing as frequently and trying other platforms.

In the age of smartphone, what other platforms still exist? Are you referring to platforms like gaming consoles and computers? I checked your Poki thread also and visited that website.

It feels so strange that HTML5 games are still played. Do you think it will exist for long?
