shooting in a platformer

So i have a platformer i am building that i wont to be able to shoot in and no matter what i try i can not get the people to shoot. i have gone over to the shooter with jumper in it and though i understand that fairly well i can not figure out how to get my Mario to shoot fireballs or my gunner (the one found in the forge) to shoot correctly. the try to fire but instead of a fire ball shooting out and hitting something you occasionally see a blink of the fireball and then it goes away. it moves them back most of the time as well. i would be forever grateful if someone would help me with this.

If the problem you're having requires it, break down the post into shorter sections, each one exposing a particular aspect of the problem.

For example, I readily read a post that contains a short description, what is happening and what should happen instead.
I don't rarely read posts longer than 2-3 continuous lines of text.

You want mouse based shooting, right? If so, her tutorial 4 (the one she gave you in the link) will be perfect. If you want shooting, but based on where the actor is facing, check out tutorial 3 as well as tutorial four.

It'd help to have better punctuation and grammar too. So many run on sentences.
