Hiya.

I have used Stencylworks for a while but i am new to iStencyl, i am currently working on a game and would like to test it however when i try to test it with the simulator it says 'Could not test app in the IOS simulator.'

I'm using a macbook pro 13 inch running snow leopard 10.6.8 with Xcode 4.2. The generated logs are attached to this post and if someone could please reply as soon as possible that would be much appreciated. Thank you

You need to grab StencylWorks 1.3.x from the site - if you upgraded from 1.2, it will lack the files needed to run iStencyl.

I do pop up a dialog stating this, but because I don't want to bug users too much, it only shows once and you likely missed it / reflexively closed it.

Thanks for your help i can now test in the simulator.

However when i reinstalled the new Stencylworks it deleted all of my games that were there, including the iOS game i wanted to test in the first place. Are they still in a folder somewhere on my Mac? or are they gone for good now?

Games are located in your workspace folder, which is defined in Preferences > Workspace. If you defined an external workspace before, your games might be sitting under Users/YOURNAME/ under a stencylworks folder.

If they were sitting in the application's folder, and you overwrote that folder, you overwrote the games too.
