Can't build game after reinstalling stencyl several years later.

Hello, Stencyl community.

In 2017, I created a small game on stencyl. If I remember correctly, I was able to build the game to flash just fine. Since then, however, I've uninstalled stencyl, and I've lost that build.

Years later, I've reinstalled stencyl in 2024. I can open up the game project fine and edit it, but when I try to build or test it, I get an error message asking me to generate logs. I've tried building it to flash and HTML5 with the same error message.

I wish I knew what to look for, but I'm lost. I've attached the logs.

Please help me figure out how to fix these errors, and thank you.

To answer your issue, you most likely need to hit the new "Issues" button at the topbar, and click "Fix All". Because it is a game made in a pretty old build, that might not be enough, and you'd have to check one by one the errors that aren't fixed by the issues button.

Thanks for responding, Luyren. I checked out the "issues" button, but there were no issues available. I tried building my game and checking the "issues" button again to see if maybe that would generate any issues for it to fix, but there is still nothing. I pressed "fix all" anyways, but my game still can't build.

I just joined the Stencyl discord if you prefer to communicate that way. I've changed my stencyl server nickname to reflect my username on stencyl. Should I repost my initial forum post into the help channel?

Yes, you can repost it in the help channel. Be aware that "recovering" old games like this might not be a simple process.
