That said, I actually think the matte version fits in with the other icons more. The glossy one looks washed out to me.

(argh, can't edit posts on my iPad)

Bevel, no gloss.

No bevel, no gloss.

I'll try to make an improved glossy version. I have an entire folder full of OS X icons I can use as a reference.

Four glossy options. They should be more subtle.

Bevel no gloss is my favorite and the one with the most visual consistency with the Mac icons on my desktop.

Could I get the PSD for this? I'd like to refresh our pre-app splash window.

Bevel no gloss looks the best here. Great job.

Irock, can you try and see how it looks at 16x16 and upward, so I update the installer icon set, please?

I don't know what sizes you need, so I used the sizes from the media kit and added 256 for good measure.

Thank you Irock.
However, it looks like all the icons have a drop shadow. I think you should remove it for the sizes 64x64 and below.

I think it should be everything below XP icon size. (48x48?)

I don't see what's wrong with the way it looks there, but okay.

I think the issue is that the drop shadow takes up space and causes the icon to fall out of alignment with other icons of the same size.
