Nicely done! I am constantly amazed at how this wonderful little gem keeps moving forward and improving. Now if I could only hunker down and actually make a game myself.

sw.jar size is 5723.
I used the installer, and it has been downloaded at February 25 at 10:07 GMT+1.

Have you at least resolved the actor of type issue?

Uh, no, that's precisely the version after installing which this problem appeared. O.o'

That's really weird. The size is 5723 which is correct.

You can try this:

1. Save all your games.
2. Remove all Stencylworks folder from Program Files.
3. Remove all Stencylworks folder, stencylwork.prefs, .stencyworks folders in your User Doc area. Make 100% sure they are removed.
4. Download nightly from here.

http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,3874.0.html

use window installer (second one)

5. Make sure you install the correct one afterwards.

Have you retried this in the last 3 hours?  If not , please do.

So what's the verdict so far on the official Stencyl beta? Is it stable/complete enough to switch over from 1.4 with no ill effects?
In the event of a firestorm, the salad bar will remain open.

I've been using the nightly for a while and I think it's stable enough. It's safe if you make regular backups, but you should be doing this anyway (not only for stencyl games, but for everything ;) )

What`s the diference between scene behaviors and scene events? I feel like noob now :(
Currently waiting for joints in stencylworks.

You can make events for specific scenes and actors and attach them without making a behavior. Or, if you want to attach events to multiple scenes or actors, make behaviors.

Added to the first post. I'll try to mention what's changed on a rolling basis every few days. Here's what happened today alone.

The most interesting and noticeable one would be the Pre-Shipped Controls behaviors. Thanks to captaincomic for putting these together. They'll go a long way towards reducing our reliance on Forge for these very common behaviors.

[Feb 26 Fixes/Changes]
- Block Picker: Add support for effects, actor types, actor groups
- Fix for: Instance Customized actors were ignoring events
- Honor default values for attributes at the code level.
- Don't auto unpause upon initiating a scene switch
- Add Pre-Shipped Controls Behaviors
- Force an upconversion of a game to 2.0 before using to prevent weird errors
- Shortcuts for Behavior Pages
- Shortcuts for Actor -> Appearance Page
- Fixed up shortcuts for Sound Editor

Reallly excited for the full 2.0 (need iOS support and the behavior library). I've tried the nightlies and it's such an improvement over 1.4.1.

Looking forward to getting the ios stuff in too and having a play around on my phone.

Been watching my housemate with 2.0 on his PC, and looks good. Some good workflow improvements for sure.

They're universal, but you'll need to hook up touch controls to them (via the simulate key press/release block we added for 2.0) - other than that, they should work out of the box.

Will document that part as an addon to our existing iOS docs.
