I just started using Stencyl, are there going to be more of these? I'd like to get a better hang of it before i would make a game for this.

Yes, we'll be doing more of these on about a quarterly basis.

A demo version of my game Eurhythmia will get submitted in whatever state it's in by June 30th.

I'm submitting a zelda-cloneish whodunit, hopefully complete with gadgets, clues, and a boss. It's named Vance McDagger.
So far, all the artwork is done, the script is mostly done, and the first couple scenes are done.
Be he alive or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread.

Generally, in the past Jon has defined eligible games as ones that are "complete". Meaning, they need to have a clear start and end, include music and sound effects, and no "placeholder" artwork.

This may/may not be a stupidish question, but what if a place inside of a game could only use placeholder textures and "unfinished" artwork?

We judge holistically. If it's a small part of the game, it's not a big deal.

Will there be a problem if the game is kinda buggy? :-\

If your game is buggy, it could affect your score.

Here's my submission. It may not be the best game... but it's my best. :P

Portal Maze 2

Erm... Ten levels of teleporting awesomeness awaits you?

That's the best i could think of. :P

Er,, what I mean to say is, if the dev. textures are the "theme"of a level.

If that's the intent (as in a deliberate choice), then that's fine.

So I'm wondering are demos and fangames allowed to be entered? Cause I'm planning to enter a fangame demo. I dont care for the prize but can my game be judged?

Yes, we can judge such entries, but they won't count towards the final results, nor do they count towards the 10 game minimum (see first post) required for the contest to be valid.

Hey Jon, I have a game that is on Flash Game License, and I want to make it only available on that page. Will I still be able to enter it here?
