[iOS] Auto-Rotate and Accelerometer don't work well together

I enabled Auto-Rotate in one of my games that also uses the Accelerometer. The game loaded up and when I rotated the device, the Accelerometer didn't work as I had planned. The Accelerometer still reacted as if the device were rotated the original way.

Shouldn't the Accelerometer values negate or switch when the device is rotated the opposite way to make sure gameplay is kept normal.

This seems like it would be quite an annoyance to anybody who wants to use these two features together.

When will this be fixed?

Good question, I thought this would have been fixed in 2.0. We'll have to wait for Jon.

I've had this problem, I just ended up turning Auto-Rotate off. I'm now having problems with Auto-Scale Collisions, I don't think they auto scale on iOS.

Check out this thread to see how I figured out how to detect the rotation:

You're welcome! And if there's anyone who can't access the Pro Forums, all you need to do is download OrientationDetect from the StencylForge.
