When I run the new version of Stencyl it does not upgrade it's just an old version (1.4)

For those of you for which the OLD Stencyl.exe failed, would you generate your logs while running with the new Stencyl.exe? I just want the Config.log file from those logs.

That's correct. As both the upgrade dialog and the ensuing "nag" dialog say, you must download 2.0 to upgrade to it.

Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I have, uh, the 64 bit JDK SE 7 and JRE 7 and the 32 bit JRE 6, so I wasn't really surprised when the first launcher didn't work. -_-

I got the old launcher to work by setting its compatibility mode to Windows 7. Which freaked me out a little since I'm, y'know, running Windows 7.

Anyways, here's config.log from the new launcher:

The launchers are intended to skirt around the need to have any version of Java installed by bundling our own. Your config also is correct.

old launcher and new launcher both work fine on my Windows Vista Home, service pack 2.

Stencyl 2.0 was working fine for the last two days but now freezes up at Welcome when I click Create new game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times but still does it. Tried the new .exe but same thing. Have XP. I don't see anything when I run StencylWorks.

Post up your logs and someone will come to assist - it doesn't have anything to do with the launcher, I'll say for now.

99% sure, it's another workspace/writability issue.

Some people are reporting over-zealous software flagging the updated launcher as a virus. It's incredibly frustrating that something so simple as launching an app has been a pain in the butt to do.

I'm looking for a replacement, since it's plain annoying to have that happen, and I welcome suggestions.

All I'm looking for is a simple program that wraps an EXE around a .bat script, which is what this app does.
