I don't have very much business knowledge, but how can you market a mobile app?
As for the ideas portion, anyone can have an idea, but then if they expect other people to do the work and then take part of the money for the work they didn't do, it is not fair.

I'm typing this all with good intentions. I'm not trying to imply that you're an idiot or an ass, just to inquire and find your reasoning.

So you are just providing the ideas and money to buy the iOS licenses?

Don't read very much of the article, due to spoilers. If you do decide to read the comics, read it in black-and-white first. It's more rewarding to do that the first time around. You can reread it later in full color. I haven't even read the last two or three in color.

Have you ever read Bones?

Thanks for the link! Yeah, it doesn't seem much different from AS3 or C#. If anything, it seems easier, though I think I'll have to be careful that I don't have leaks.

Does anyone know some good HaXe tutorials?
As a side-note, does Flash Professional support HaXe in the IDE?

You do not need to start a company to sell games.

I heard it was great for tablet use, but desktop users were struggling.
The only bad thing of which I heard was the MS touch keyboard breaking.

does she publish her stuff?

No. She's still in the learning stages; she's proof-reading my book and learning as she goes!

Your daughter is lucky.

I don't know about you guys, but my brother taught himself modding for the game, Notrium, as well as some WML and C++ when he was 10. He doesn't know them anymore, but he used to be really good at it. He stopped after three years, and I wish he didn't.

So yes, stencyl should be very easy for 10 year olds, in my opinion.

He's not making a big mistake, Irock.
Yes he is.

Prove it, Irock. Give statistics.

He's not making a big mistake, Irock. He might lose some business from the mac app store, but I think that the apple developer license allows publishing to the mac app store anyway, and porting is going to be very easy with stencyl.

But couldn't a person who didn't want to chat just turn off the chat when they turn on stencyl, and then turn it on whenever they want?

Of course, I don't have any experience with it like you do, and you do type from experience, giving you more merit than me.

Ironically, at one point chat was integrated into Stencyl and it was not used by nearly anyone, IIRC.

I'd use it. :( I think it would be a nice luxury, at the very least.

That's not allowed, but the planning of the game prior to the contest is not disallowed.
