I am NOT doing this in the latest version of Stencyl (3) but rather the one before it. The game became really buggy and unstable in 3 and wasn't going to be the same.

This is a long-term project I will be working on.
At its core, Project Deadslice combines the setting and theme of Castlevania with the slice and dice gameplay of Metal Gear Rising.
  • A talented Sprite and/or 2D Artist(s). To create monsters.
  • Someone who can program "cutscenes" in-game that  are glitch-free
  • Someone who can program complex enemy AI
Now the bad news is, I myself cannot pay you. But whatever revenue I receive from sites like GameJolt that use ads to get money will go to you, as I am making this as a portfolio project.

I have included the file for a tech demo of the game. WASD to move, and arrow keys to slash in the desired direction.

I recently updated  Stencyl and I did the ZIP folder thing and uninstalled the old one as instructed.  But none of my games or kits made with 2.5 will even open! I just says "Opening" forever. How can I fix this? Did I do the export wrong?

Everything else will be handled by me and my professional artist. I just need help with things like item menus and random damage numbers for attacks.

Every time I select the font tab on the Dashboard or try to select a font from the "Drawing" behavior the menu either doesn't show up or isn't responsive. s there a way to fix this??

Actually I just found a way to import it from another computer and then put it on my StencylForge. Thanks for the help though :D

Off the top of my head I can say after you add the wall or whatever is at the top of the intended movement range, add a "Terrian" (The orange box with the green plus on the bottom left of the scene editor) high enough so that the character can move all the way up to it and seemingly end at the feet.

Ah! Nevermind my last reply, you were right about the draw text being relative to the actor's position! Thank you!

Ah ok, thanks. If that doesn't work out though, may I ask that you take a screenshot of the coding blocks for the behavior I mentioned? It should be under the "Eye Candy" category.

I have it set as a Scene behavior, and I changed the font color already to white for the dark background. I didn't think about applying draw text to an actor...I have all his movement set to stop too when he enters the region, so maybe I can set the text to draw when that happens to the actor?

I have text set to draw when my character enters a region(for dialogue), but it never appears! I know how to use draw text but it refuses to happen. I don't know if it has to do with the fact the the scene is huge or not and I know that I did the coordinates right. PLEASE HELP!

Crap... I asked this because I accidentally deleted the coding for the behavior "Explode after death" whitch comes with the program. But un and re-installing didnt fix it :( and it isnt on Stencylforge.
