@KungFuFurby: Thanks for the feedback! I have been occupied with school and life in general and will hopefully be ironing out all issue within the next month or so. Good to hear constructive criticism!

@tabletop: the music is just placeholder until I can make some ambient theta grooves ;-)

Thanks again to everyone!

Greetings Stencyl Community!

My second game is up for your viewing and playing pleasure. It is a simple platformer complete with my own graphics (however they are VERY basic). The game is playable with Main Menu, Game Over Screen and 5 Grass Levels. There is one basic collectable and one basic enemy(More on the way as soon as I finalize the art assets!).

**Future Versions***
~More Levels
~More Enemies
~SOUND!
~Stay Tuned!!

Hopefully you enjoy!

All constructive criticism welcome and encouraged!

Game Art / Re: Pixel Art Thread

I am by no means a master artist but I did whip up a tileset for an Ice Platformer that I had in mind.

[EDIT]: These were done entirely through Stencyl. Loving the built in editor.

Just had a round (or four) of your game. Loving the retro feel! Well done!

Valve is awesome. I don't mind that I paid for it either - I got my money's worth and quite a lot more too.

I agree! Add me if you wish, Nookriot is my tag.

Chit-Chat / Re: How did you find out about us?

I was conversing with some local devs here in NYC about rapid prototyping and the tools used in the industry. Stencyl came up in the conversation (however at the time it was in beta and I did not get a chance to participate). But now it is LIVE and here I AM!

My name is Adam and I live in Queens NY. I am studying for my Bachelor's Degree in Comp Sci and found this wonderful software through some local indie dev buddies of mine through some networking. This looks to be a VERY promising tool for Flash development.

As for my signature [Nookriot], that is my dev tag.

I look forward to seeing what this community has to offer!

Windows / Mac / Flash / HTML5 / Prototype V1

Just starting out with Stencyl and will be performing iterative development to this prototype to familiarize myself with the software's tools. Feel free to love it or hate it! I look forward to the feedback (positive AND negative)!

Basically, it is the featured "Crash Course" with additional items to come:

-Main Menu (with instructions)
-Score
-Game over screen
-Screenshots

While I know most of this is super-basic, just getting into the habit of connecting to the community! Cheers!

Here it is:

[UPDATE - 20110711]
Now with a Main Menu screen (Complete with instructions and a start button).
Please note that the "Goal" actor is a bit wonky, still adjusting that!
