stencyl does not open after updating mac os Catalina

after updating to mac os catalina stencyl does not open, I have to use a terminal and look for the exec for the program to load,  can you please  tell me what to do to solved.

I just updated to Catalina, and Stencyl opened the same for me as it has been since around El Capitan or so.

It asked me if it was okay to run a program from the internet, and I agreed to that, and I had to drag the Stencyl.app file out of the folder and back in again to get rid of the quarantine. Nothing particularly new here.

If you can try running "open Stencyl.app" in a terminal, and also executing the script "Stencyl.app/Contents/MacOS/Stencyl" in a terminal, one of those may provide more info about why it doesn't work normally for you.

Please try downloading the latest build and see if it works. I've made some fixes on Catalina in the case that Stencyl or your workspace are in the Desktop/Documents folders.

initially he asked me to authorize it, then I had to remove stencyl.app from the folder and return it, with that the application opened without problems, but he asked me for access to java and Lulu. then connect java to the internet.

then when accessing to preview a game he asked me to update Neko vm, but then he tells me that he cannot open haxelib because he does not have permission because it is a third party application.


I am looking for how I can update or give permission for haxelib to be updated
if you can give me help with that detail I would appreciate it

If you open your "Mac Settings > Security and Privacy > General" tab, do you see an "Open Anyway" button for Haxelib? If so, try pressing that.

Starting with b10541, everything is notarized with a hardened runtime, as per Apple's latest requirements. Everything should work find in all private and public builds after this point (at least until Apple comes up with more restrictions).

The only thing to note, for users of the private .zip builds, is the new method of running Stencyl the first time.

If on Mac, the first time you run a .zip build after downloading it, right-click "Stencyl.command" and choose "Open." Choose "Open" again in the next dialog, and Stencyl will launch. After the first launch, you can run Stencyl with the "Stencyl.app" file. This does not affect our public and weekly .dmg builds of Stencyl.
