Hi everyone! Some of you may remember my game Twinbots. It's a game I made for the Stencyl Jam: http://community.stencyl.com/index.php/topic,26844.0.html

For those who don't, Twinbots is a puzzle/platforming game. The goal is to take the twinbots to the exit door in each level. The twinbots are little creatures that share their mind, which means that they move simultaneously, so you will control multiple twinbots at the same time. This mechanic is combined with other classics as spinning saws, spikes, teleporters or acid pools,  resulting in a variety of levels. Some levels require more skill while others need some prior planning.

Since I still think this is my best game in regard to game/level design, I decided to port it to Android. Although some adjustments were needed (screen proportions, controls, etc), the port was really easy to make thanks to Stencyl. After a few minutes of work I had the first prototype running on my phone, which is great! I've also modified some levels and added extra ones, making a total of 42.

Extensions / [flash] MindJolt Extension [1.0]

Hey everyone. I wanted to upload a game to Mindjolt and I could not find any extension for their API so I tried and did one myself, and it looks like it works! Being my first extension I thought I would have a lot more trouble haha. Anyway, here it is for anyone who may need it! Any feedback is very welcome :)


Just download the zip, install the extension and enable it. You'll get this blocks:



- Connect to Mindjolt: Use this one first with the ID provided when registering your game in Mindjolt.
- Show Pregame Ad: This will show the Mindjolt ad, I recommend using it just after the connection.
- Submit Score: This will submit the provided score to Mindjolt and will show another ad. Use it when the game is over.

NOTE: You might have some issues with security when testing locally. Check this out

Hi all! I've just released my first android game, done with Stencyl of course, so I thought I would share it with you all.

The game is called 'Fruit Rush' and it's an arcade game. The goal is to avoid falling fruits from reaching the top of the screen by tapping on groups of the same kind. There are also special items that can be used to destroy more fruits at once. These items can be bought and upgraded to make them more powerful by spending coins collected by playing, allowing to get a higher score.

It started as a flash game (which is still in FGL waiting for sponsor) but with the mobile version in mind, so the transition was fairly easy. I put a great effort in polishing graphics and optimising the actors management during the game. I've included Admob and Facebook use with the great extensions available. I know its not the greatest or most original game ever... but I learned a LOT while making it and I'm proud of the result :)

I will share stats in this post if it starts being downloaded, but in the meantime any feedback is very welcome.

Hi all! Super Skydiving Santa is my new game :)

Santa must skydive to get all the falling gifts he can in order to save Christmas!!
Upgrade your abilities and use your skill to dodge bombs and missiles while gathering as many gifts as you can!

This is my first game made with Stencyl 3.0 and I did it in a week or so.. Its a very simple game but I'm quite happy with the results :)

Ask a Question / Best way to use big hand-drawn scenarios?

Hi guys,

I'm trying to use big 'hand-drawn' scenarios instead of tiles, something like this (but ideally bigger):



I've thought of two ways to do this, one is by using a foreground containing the whole scenario image, and the other is by using an actor for the scenario (or maybe more than one). In both cases the collision would be done with custom terrains.

Which way would be more efficient? Any other way I could do this?
