this is actually pretty cool! are you using approaches which been present in old games prior to full fledged 3D graphics?
if you want temple run you better get a 3D engine. This approach might work for a racing game though.

Anyway, quite impressive bit of work! =)

Hey guys,
My game 'Fishing Fantasy' finally got approved and you can now Download it on the App Store

Please check the Gameplay video
And couple screenshots attached.

It took me more than 3 years to make and release this game and there were lots of interesting issues to solve.
I wish to say huge thanks to the great Stencyl team who made this possible and the whole community who were a great support on the forum. Thank you guys!

Best place to ask would be on the newgrounds thread.

I'm also thinking it would be fine (I see people talking about collaborating on NG), and I think it has happened in the past. I guess you'd have to figure out how to split the prize if you won.

Tom was not against me participating, even though my game is almost done (iOS). But to adapt it to web will require another month by my estimates, so it's still a fair piece of work.

I would love to participate, but my game been in development for quite a while already.
I've asked Tom for permission on the Newgrounds forums,...hope you guys will let me in. Originally I've been making iOS version, so it is still rather challenging to make a decent port. Let's see, let's see...fingers crossed.

Hey Justin,
thanks for help.

After removing games generated folder, saving game and relaunching Stencyl it finally build successfully. Simple clean project didn't not work had to perform all of the above to get it fixed.

First of all thank you for the code. I've tried it and it works.

But I want to find out which day of the month it is now and then set a condition accordingly...
So I need to get a day of the month and store it into a variable afterwards. Any help is much appreciated

turns out one of the actors I've had was set to normal in physics settings and I've been updating its position and rotation through some code and with that weird set up I was getting stretching if another actor was heavy enough. After I've set first actor to cannot be pushed, everything fixed immediately.
Huge thanks for putting demo scene on Forge. It was very helpful.
And thank you for this wonderful extension.

seems it is highly dependant on the weight of the object...so in order to make it work like in demo objects should be very light
and putting length in always block doesn't help. yes I've expected that default frequency and damping values will make rock solid connection, but turns out that if object is heavy (20 kg) and gravity is high then connection will be stretchy or buggy, hard to say for sure.

According to the examples (Demo and the Ragdoll Test) this extension is totally awesome.
But for some reason I am having difficulties setting up my actors so that they behave similar to the ones in Demo...
If I create distance joint it works like something very stretchy...what value could I put to prevent any stretching? I want a firm distance joint similar to the demo example.
I've tried experimenting with length, frequency and damping but none of my tests were successful...
are there any special requirements for the actors?

I'd suggest to contact code.org to affiliate with you in some way if possible. if they promote scratch, why not to promote Stencyl?
