This game is so freaking difficult. You have to be a hardcore gamer to even THINK about finishing this game.

So much time and love went into making Pyrocylsm and I truly feel that we made something that looks completely different than any other game made with Stencyl.

This game is tough and it's meant to be tough. You either hate it or you are addicted to it.

A massive meteor field is plowing through the galaxy and it is your job to help defend the different civilizations in the nearest solar systems. Pyroclsym puts you in command of defending several civilizations across the galaxy from a massive meteor storm that is ravaging everything in it’s path. It’s your duty to stay one step ahead of the meteors and go to each planet to defend life and survive long enough to go to the next planet and do it all over again. If you fail along the way, then the whole galaxy will be destroyed.

Ask a Question / Runs great on PC's but lags severely on MAC's

Hey everyone, my game runs excellent on any pc that I have tried it on, even my old dell vostro from 200t, it runs great maintaining at 60 fps, but when I try it on any MAC, even brand new ones, it lags really bad.  Has this happened to anyone?

I'm looking for someone to help me clean up code, fix quite a few issues and help me polish up my game, Pyroclysm. My plan is to put the game on multiple flash portals, iOS, Android (when I can) and also as a standalone game. I've got the basis of the game finished, just need a bit of help and advise.

Ask a Question / Actor not getting killed when it collides.

Hey Everyone,
I have an actor at the bottom of the screen called dome1 and when another actor collides with it one time, it get's destroyed and creates another actor called dome2 in its place. This works perfect, so I took dome1 and duplicated it and renamed it to dome2 so that when another actor comes down, this one gets destroyed.
I duplicated code from dome1 for dome2 except I got rid of the last part that says to create another actor when it gets destroyed, and dome1 works perfectly, but dome2 will takes anywhere between 2 and 9 hits to get destroyed for some reason.

Here is the code for dome1.

the only difference between the code for dome1 and dome2 is that I took out the create block so that when it gets hit one time, it is SUPPOSED to get destroyed, but it doesn't.  It takes a random number of times being hit before it gets destroyed. Anyone have a clue why it's doing this?

I am having the error where it tells you to look at stencylpedia and replace the Adobe Air SDK which I did that and am still getting an error.
I am using windows 8. It says in the stencylpedia that "This has fixed 100% of said cases so far." but
it didn't work for me.
Anybody have any ideas how to remedy this?

What is the lowest framerate a game should run. I know that it fluctuates a lot during gameplay. My game currently stays around 58-60, but sometimes I will see it jump down to low 40's just for a fraction of a second, but it immediately jumps back up to 60.

What should I shoot for in FPS?

I am looking for some billowing smoke that can cycle.
I need 3-5 different versions so that it doesn't look like the same thing all the time.
Does anyone have any resources, or do you know how to make some realistic smoke?

Resolved Questions / (SOLVED) Stopping an event after a period of time.

This event starts 5 seconds after the scene starts and is supposed to happen for another 10 seconds and then stop. The problem is, it's not stopping.

How can I get this event to stop. I've also tried using the "stop" and the "cancel" block instead of the "disable this behavior" block, but they don't seem to work either.

I am trying to get my missiles to point the direction of my mouse click. Here is the code I have already to make the actor GO in that direction, I just can't figure out how to get him to point that way as well.

Right now, when my bullet actor hits an enemy actor one time, both of them are destroyed. I would like the enemy to get hit 3 times by my bullet actor before it gets destroyed. How can I do that?
