hello again friends. my question today is how does one get started in composing music for games. I am an artist of many varieties and have been a musician for ten years. I have always loved the concept of game design and have spent years writing storylines and designing character builds. basically everything im into involves gaming and have wanted to get into the business and put my talents to use. so any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you very much for reading

Hi everyone this is a block setup for a boomerang effect. the charge effect is a little buggy cause sometimes the boomerang doesn't die when it reaches the player. I will make it better with more experience but this is the best I can do atm. the hold attack is to disable player movement while controlling the boomerang.

This is a code for a never miss arrow. its very basic and im not sure how it will function with multiple enemies. so to make the enemy shoot at a moving target you would just make the enemyX and Y attributes give your position instead. create a when updating event for yourself and set both attributes to x and y of self. then change the when updating event on the bullet to when created and it should work just fine

This is a boomerang effect that after one second either enables a special action of control the boomerang or makes it return to you.
the x and yposition attribute are set to the players positon.

Hello my name is Poe and I'm fairly new to stencyl. I'm starting this topic in hopes that generous developers will share behaviors they have built and think are awesome enough to share with the community. I believe this will help newbies like myself and maybe even seasoned game developers expand their knowledge and better their creations and that ultimately improve the quality of games seen online because I know we have all played many games we thought were stupid and a waste of time. with that said if you do decided to share a behavior please give a brief description its function. Okay thank you. I have a working system that after a half a second if the key is still pressed a second function kicks in but its buggy. Maybe that'll work better.

Hello again. I was curious if anyone knows how to build a charged attack sequence. I once again am at a standstill trying to figure this out. What I'm try to do is split the attack so that if fire is pressed and released a normal shot will take place, however if it is held for a second longer the power shot will take effect. This may be more simple than I know but I'm having a lot of trouble with it.. All help is greatly appreciated

I'm try to make a charged atk for my boomerang. When I hit z the normal atk occurs and the boomerang returns to link. What I want is if z is held. Instead of it returning to link it gains four way movement and can be controlled while z is held. Then when z is released I want the normal function to take place again... I'm having all sorts of problems with this once again. Mainly when the held effect takes place the game either freezes or the boomerang never returns. All help is appreciated thanks

BTW now I'm on the new issue of creating a power atk with the boomerang. When I hit action1 the loop begins. What I want is if control 1 is held the boomerang instead gets four way movement for as long as control one is held... My problem is that when that when it is released the loop doesn't continue to flow. Any idea how I'd make that happen?
