Hello everyone,
I just installed stencyl.. and then I started learning the basics from the crash course, but when I tired to test the game, this problem accrued.

That's a pretty uncommon error. It seems that the location where the .swf is written to ends up getting locked.

Code: [Select]
2021-11-23 04:46:16,840: [haxelib.exe] Running command: BUILD
2021-11-23 04:46:16,840: [haxelib.exe]  - Running command: haxe Export/flash/haxe/debug.hxml
2021-11-23 04:46:37,860: [haxelib.exe] Sys_error("Export/flash/bin/2.swf: Permission denied")

Also visible in the logs each time that error happens is this:
Code: [Select]
Failed to delete file or directory: C:\Users\<...>\AppData\Roaming\Stencyl\stencylworks\games-generated\2\Export\flash\bin\2.swf

It seems like something has locked the file and isn't releasing it. It could be Stencyl itself, though I'm not sure I've ever seen that happen before. It could also be something external, like a file syncing utility, an antivirus, or a file explorer, for example. It looks like you were able to successfully build the game a few times before the problem started happening. It's likely that the problem will go away if you either restart Stencyl or restart your computer.

If restarting Stencyl didn't help, that just means that Stencyl isn't what's locking the file. Some external process seems to be locking it. The simplest solution is likely to restart your computer.

If you'd like to determine exactly what's causing that file to be locked, you can use the programs in Windows Sysinternals Suite.

1. Download Sysinternals Suite, or just the Process Explorer utility.
2. Open "procexp64.exe".
3. From the menu bar, click "Find > Find Handle or DLL..."
4. Type in "Export\flash\bin\2.swf" and press "Search".
5. It will display "Searching..." in the bottom-left corner. This may take some time.
6. When a result appears, that's what's locking the file.

I just downloaded that tool and followed the instruction but when I clicked search.. it showed searching but the result was "0 matching items" .
I figured out that maybe I should open stencyl first then try that search.. but then when I opened it again and tried to test the project.. it just worked :D
Thanks.
And these images that I inserted before but they didn't show up somehow:

Whatever had locked the file must have already released the lock then. If it ever happens again, you can follow the same steps to figure out the cause.
