Journals / Re: Feedback needed please
« on: January 15, 2015, 02:52:32 pm »
I think I need to make the time show that its only a one minute for Jumping Jacks.  Right now, the timer shows the total time till everything is done.  That might have be causing some confusion.

I thought about doing a random event generator for every time you do the work out, all five portions would be different each time you start the workout.

Thank you for the feedback WayneAdams!

More like a really long couple of nights, but I wanted to give people time that don't really have time a chance to enter the challenge.  Unless people would rather have weekly challenges.

I am in the process of making a contest kit for a new challenge.  It will be more interesting than the original idea.

I would be happy to help translate your game!
I have experience in Chinese culture and language to offer, and would be happy to use that knowledge to break down walls in the West.

I know for a fact that cmp for that region and language group is quite low ($0.01), but from experience I have seen greater number of users (Which I think is more important).  Often or not, much of your users base is from China, even if you have your game is in english or Chinese (more so if you have a Chinese version).

By the way, I responded to your message.

Hello everyone!  I just want to get some practice translating new media within the Stencyl Community.  This means, if you have a game that is in English, then I would be happy to translate your game into Chinese (simplified Chinese).  I don't have any real practice in this field, but my major is Chinese Translation (its quite funny since my major is Chinese Translation that I have no real experience).  I have been studying Chinese for at least 3 years, with one and half years of that in China.  I have also passed the HSK test level 4, and getting ready to take HSK level 5.

"How will you translate my game?" you ask.  By spreadsheet!  What you will do is give me everything in English by spreadsheet.  That means for every word on a button, every scene of dialog, etc... gets placed in a cell in the spreadsheet.  After you give me the spreadsheet, I will fill out the spreadsheet with the correct translation.

Here the kicker... its free for now.  All I want is to be in the credits! This is only for my improvement as a translator.  So, I will offer my service for free.

If you have any questions, please PM me.

Can't wait to work with you!   ;D
