-Okay so I have now added a small map icon which becomes available once you find fuel for the car, you just click on that to bring up the main map.

-Plane chase scene difficulty has been tweaked slightly.

-Saving should now work and loading by selecting continue from the menu.

-Loading app at beginning should now be faster, though I will need to do more testing on this tomorrow to confirm.

As for too much text, this is created in the style of a classic point n click adventure game which are usually heavily text based, so that won't be getting altered in anyway except for maybe a voice over to accompany the text via an update further down the line.

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Sorry to hear the save system wasn't working as it is meant to, I did a lot of testing with it on different devices, I will look into it asap and make some adjustments so that the continue button does in fact work.

As for the controls, I understand they are not ideal and have been trying to think of an alternative method of moving the character. The only other option I can think of is perhaps the joystick, but just kinda takes away from the atmosphere of being in a movie. But I will figure it out and iron out all the creases hopefully by this weekend at the latest.

The game is created to give the feel of actually being in a Hitchcock movie.

Storyline:
You wake up in a cheap motel room with no recollection of who or where you are. You soon also discover that everyone
has disappeared and the only sign of life is the distant call of the crows in the wind.

It is up to you to discover your identity and why everyone has disappeared.

But some things are best not remembered.

Well it was a game I originally started around 2 years ago using  program called AGS and then kinda abandoned until recently, if I remember right I used a  gif animation of a real man walking and then spent a few days drawing over each frame in photoshop with my character, I wanted the animations to be as realistic as possible so I used real animations to trace over basically. There is also a section in the game where there is a dog that chases after you and I used the same process for the dog.

The game is now waiting for approval on iTunes Connect so should hopefully be live by this weekend.

There's actually not that much text in the game only a few certain scenes and compared to most point n click adventure games there is very minimal. I did want voice acting but I think the file size would just become too large.

The game will be $1.99 with no plans for free levels yet but maybe I might consider doing that at some point.

The Silence is created to make you feel as though you are actually in a Hitchcock movie.
It is an adventure game with both point n click & action elements such as flying a bi plane.

I decided that I wasn't happy with the overall look of the game and have now instead got rid of the TV overlay and updated all the graphics as well as add lots more animations such as flocks of birds, animated grass, rabbits, windmills, fog etc to make the world feel more real and immersive.

I have also improved the controls and saving system.

Hi sorry I havnt had chance to get on here last couple of weeks,
work kinda took over. Yes iAds started finally working last week and I averaging
Around 250 - 300 downloads a day on weekdays and around 500 -1000 for Sat & Sun.

I hope you managed to get past the level okay!

Currently working on next game which is an adventure in the style
Of a Hitchcock film. Gloopy was just a test run to learn the process of
Publishing to the App Store before taking on a bigger project.

Thanks Henson. Well I guess it must just be some kind of fluke or something, be interesting to see how it does over the next few weeks and if the numbers slowly or rapidly dwindle.  The iAds tip takes a weight of my mind also so cheers for that!

Yep still no iAds which is pretty frustrating, no reply of Apple yet so just gotta be patient I guess.

1500 downloads in 2 days is unusually large if you didn't do much marketing.

The only marketing I really did was spam everyone I know to download it.

Thanks again Colburt, the new update is already up for review which includes saving etc and new textures. I will look into the volume of the splatter noise though with the next update, never thought to try the game with headphones so a good tip for future.

The game managed to get 500 downloads within the first 24 hours, so that pretty cool.

Hi Colburt thanks a lot for trying the game and the feedback.

Yes the save option will be included via an update, cant believe I forgot to include it!

Having always gone over the top on graphics in earlier games I was trying to go for a very simplified clean look with this game,  I was tempted to add some kind of texture to the blocks but decided not too. But maybe I will have another look and also include textures with the update as I can definitely see what you mean.

iAds is enabled but for some reason they are not showing up on the live version (I have completed all the tax forms etc), though I have read that it can take a few days for them to actually start showing up...I hope! I have emailed apple about the issue just incase it is technical.
