Hi. Is it oversimplifying things to ask for help with iCloud loading and saving via code blocks? I'm looking for a way to save all game attributes to the player's iCloud (and Google play, eventually). So, at the same point that it saves the data locally, it also uploads the save data for use on other devices. Similarly, if the game is connected to Game Center, it should sync the save data.

Is this functionality planned for Stencyl? It's odd that other Game Center functions are available except this one.

There are also tools to reduce the size of graphics files. I use Pngyu on a mac, and it greatly reduces the file size very easily without any noticeable effects. I think this is done by reducing the number of colours in the image. Go to your stencylworks/games/gamename/resources folder and have a look at what needs attention. And look at the Atlas/resources section of the settings to find the worst offenders too. Hope that helps.

Yes, I'm really only thinking of iCloud/Google Play (for me, anyway). For more 'persistent' game types like Clash of Clans, or where the player is expected to invest a lot of time to build up stats/xp etc. It's strange that this isn't currently supported, given the fact that other Game Center/Google Play blocks are present.

How about the iCloud saving? How easy would it be to create "save to iCloud" type block? At the moment, stencil is a bit limited in terms of creating long-form games where players gradually level up.

+1 for iCloud sync. This ought to be part of the engine itself but I'm willing to chip in for somebody to create an extension. It's beyond my capabilities.

Yes I spotted that. I'd chip in myself but this seems to me to go hand in hand with other Game Center functions. At the moment, there's no way to use virtual currencies in the game to unlock different things and have the ability to restore everything if the game is deleted. So I can restore the currency but not the things that the currency unlocks. Not sure whether that would fail an Apple submission.

Thanks for that. I was really hoping for an out-of-the-box solution for this. Perhaps an extension is in the works?
