Old Bugs (1.x/2.x) / Re: Freaky bug with downloading tilesets

That would suck but only take half the time it originally took. I still have all the files I downloaded from the old version of Forge saved in a game.

Smart thinking, but wow, that really does suck.  :-\

<offtopic>I've been noticing this for a while, but is there any reason a lot of console errors show up with the file path having "jon" in it? I'm sure it's the location of the source on Jon's machine, but is it something that's here to stay?</offtopic>

You'd do the same thing, except instead of spawning regions, just use that code to check for collisions at those same points.

Did you want to switch this over to the "new method"? Everything should run a lot better.

Is there really any reason to have that? You do get the Who's Online list, I believe.

Dang, that makes me reconsider getting it now as opposed to later...

That's probably why they're doing it. There are really no launch games that sound particularly interesting (to me, at least), so a lot of people would otherwise probably wait for Mario/Zelda/StarFox/etc. before purchasing one.

Nothing's wrong now. It works fine thanks to the updated behavior you sent me.

Good to hear!  :)

As for the ridiculous slow down, that's because of the Wood Offense Behavior. Stencyl is really choking on all of those regions. Once we transition over to this new method, though, things should run well.

I'd recommend finishing up the Behavior you're working on first. Then start to transition over the other ones once you understand how that the first one works. And of course I can help if you get stuck.

The while block is already there... (see attached).

I uploaded the new Behavior, so you can see the pattern. It now works with moon phase 1 (up) and moon phase 2 (down). You'll want to update to the b368 prerelease to grab it, I think. It's kind of a pain for me to switch between them.

What's the problem with the diagonal motion?

You just plop the Attribute blocks inside the Print block, like you already have. The difference is that you want to put then in the "while" block instead of the "when created" block. Otherwise, they'll only happen once when the Behavior is first initialized.

Also, the offset should stay the same. Only the position of the attack should be changing. Think of it as an invisible projectile.

If you put the print blocks inside the while loop, it'll probably slow your game down while the while condition is true, since printing to the console repeatedly tends to do that. It shouldn't last for very long, though.

Regarding the direction, you're entering the same offset and attack values for each moon phase, so that's why it's moving the same direction. You have to make them unique.

Got Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 for the PS3 yesterday. Been playing the heck out of it and it is really fun. The characters are all unique and the fighting is fast and jam packed with style.

Dante and Zero are currently at the top of my list. I'm trying to get used to Amaterasu's fighting style as well.
Me and my friend recently got MvC3 on PS3 as well. You and me ought to play some time, seeing as we both have it. My mains right now are Wesker, Zero, and either X-23 or Crimson Viper.

I've got MvC3 for Xbox. Capcom did a great job of preserving the feel of its predecessors while transitioning to 3D.

Pasta alla Carbonara, which is a dish made up of pasta of choice (spaghetti, bucatini, etc.), eggs, guanciale (which is a type of bacon).

I hear Jon makes a tasty Carbonara. :)

Well I can't get the behavior open to check.

Oops, my bad. Do you have a copy of b367 available? Otherwise, we might have to mingle with some XML files.
