News / Re: Stencyl 3.0 - Design Once. Play Anywhere.

Yes - that's something that we have no control over. Unless you jailbreak or test on an Android (a free and alternative way to test on mobile, I suppose), there is no way to circumvent it.
Although from what I've heard it sounds like running it in flash will be just like running it on iOS.

Yeah since the mouse is like a finger it should be quite simillar excluding accelerometer (LOL imagine turning your computer left to right for the accelerometer) mine is anyway like this already since I have a touchscreen computer
OS X Kitty, now with accelerometer support. iOS development has never been easier.

Is it possible if you are jailbroken to test on your device if you have windows and no licences (stencyl or apple)?

So. Forgive my dumbness, but when, again, is 3.0 gonna be available to the public?
Late November/early December. Is what they said, but as Dom said, no set date.

I'm not quite sure I understand this- are games published to the web not flash anymore?

I guess you could say HTML, which I learned when I was 7.

Paid Work / Voice acting needed

Due to my suckish mic I need a voice actor for my new iOS game. You will probably only have to read 10-20 lines. I don't have much money so you will have to work for free. I will put your name and a link to your youtube/app/website/whatever in the credits. Just PM me if your interested.

Chit-Chat / Re: What tutorials would you like to see?

Not really a tutorial, but review Stencyl games. That would be cool. Try to do a few that aren't in staff picks or popular.

Wow this is really neat.

I'll keep you in mind if I ever get more money.

What program do you use?

I'm peeved that the first generation iPad isn't supported.
Yeah, I think within a few updates everyone will need to buy a new device  :P

Anyone have it? I do. What are your opinions on it? I think it is a bit small (at least for the iPod Touch) but has some neat features. I also like how they added a bunch of little aesthetic things that add a nice touch.

Chit-Chat / New MacBook Pro

Does anyone have or has tried the new macbook pro? Right now I'm at the apple store testing one. It's really neat, bur safari is bugging me.
What are your thoughts about the new macbook?

Chit-Chat / Copyrights?
« on: July 02, 2012, 08:17:51 am »
So I'm going to be publishing 2 paid iOS games within the year, and I have a few questions about copyrighting stuff
1. Should I copyright the game?
2. If not, when should I start advertising it online?
3. Are copyrighted games more likely to get into the app store?
4. How likely are my games to get stolen if I don't copyright them?

I want to know so that someone doesn't steal my idea and publish a game like it before my game is on the app store.

Edit: 42nd post  :D
